Two steps forward, one step back:
I'm learning to deal with set backs
This week was tough. It's amazing how other things in my everyday life affect my eating habits. I had a few bad days, things started off wrong, or I missed my bus. One day I got rear ended in the snow. Things boil up and I get overwhelmed or stressed and I just want to sit back and eat and relax. BUT!!! I still exercised and my food set backs weren't bad. My calorie intake goals are 1400-1800 per day and I haven't gone over the 1800 mark so that's good, but having cookies fill those calories isn't such a healthy choice. But today is a new day.
Goals I acheived:
- Lost 3.5 Lbs!
- Lost 3.5 inches waist/bust/hips
- Got to bed at reasonable time every night
- I upped my exercise routine levels/times for tougher work out and more calorie burn
- Measured portions, servings with cups/spoons
Opportunities:
- Focus less on failures, disappointments, giving myself a break
- Don't medicate with food
- Keep upping the water in take
- Try an advanced work out this week, it's a 1 1/2 hr. work out
- Strength training Wed/Fri: 8 workouts, for core, upper, leg
- Work out 300-500 minutes this week, keep heart rate at weight loss level
- STRETCH A LOT
- Eliminate bad influences: TV, Laptop, sweets
- Portion control
My computer is having difficulty with the video uploading, so we'll see. I have to reformat my laptop but it is the middle of the term so I'll work on it. This blog is working well for me for right now.
I felt unsuccessful, but looking back I did do really well at other things. So I'm trying to to be hard on myself. Tah tah for now

Hey Soph! Way to stick with your program. Seeing the calendar at your house was impressive! You are doing an awesome job! Keep it up girl! Oh, and I just watched that video you posted...hilarious!
Way to keep at it Sophie. I know the set-backs can be most insidious when you don't just forgive yourself and resolve to do better. I NEED to get on the water wagon w/ you. It's just so cozy to have warm drinks...I actually bought oodles of herbal tea for this reason but the Chai...sweet, sweet pap of life
You're inspirational Lady.
Don't Forget to Be Awesome
